Budget Information

ESM Voters approved the Budget May 20

Propositions on the Ballot:
• Proposition #1 passed 1,019-601:  Proposed School Budget $68,270,040.
• Proposition #2 passed 1,047-541 : Purchase of School Buses not to exceed $379,000.
• Proposition #3 passed 956-594: Creating a new capital reserve fund for renovations, improvements and additions to District facilities.
• Proposition #4 passed 1,042-505: Funding of the public library in East Syracuse for $80,000.

Five Candidates Ran for Three Seats:  There were five candidates running for three seats on the Board of Education. Elected to the Board were Debra B. Eichholtz (896 votes, 4-year term), D. Paul Waltz (888 votes, 4-year term), and Mark LaFountain ( 861 votes, 2-year term). Leah Cushing received 784 votes, while Matthew Uryniak received 728 votes.

Incumbents Randy Rupe and Ronald Roney Jr. did not running for re-election to the Board.
