Yearly Timeline
May 1 Nomination deadline
May Central committee meets to narrow pool of nominees and establishes
slate of candidates
June 1 Candidate slate distributed to committee and past recipients
July 1 Committee and past recipients finalize yearly honorees
Aug 1 Yearly honorees announced and invited
February Yearly ceremony (subject to change)
Candidate Categories
1. Athlete: Must have graduated 5 years ago by June of the current year *
Considerations: State champion, All-state, All-American,
School record holder, Multi-sport accomplishments,
Good moral character
2. Coach: Must have retired 5 years ago by June of the current year *
Considerations: Years of service, number of seasons, number of sports,
Good moral character, wins
3. Other: (Distinguished service to the athletic program)
Accomplishments 5 years ago or more by June of the current year *
· Posthumous candidates accepted
· (Unsuccessful nominees will be considered for 4 additional years
before they would need to be re-submitted).
Mail completed nomination form and all information in one complete mailing by May 1st to:
