Under FERPA (Family Educational Right to Know Privacy Act), the school nurse may disclose health alerts involving individual students to individuals who have a "legitimate educational interest" or that "need to know" the student's health situation. If you do not want your child's medical information shared with appropriate staff, please do not hesitate to contact the school nurse.
