TechTalk is an in-house staff development program providing an informal way for teachers to share technology ideas and skills. These "mini workshops" allow a chance for faculty and staff to learn a very specific task when using technology.
TechTalk sessions take place at the high school on the second Tuesday of each month and at Pine Grove on the second Thursday of each month. Sessions take place every block/period, in addtion to before and after school. The sessions will run, depending on the topic, for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Topics to be discussed and/or demonstrated are determined by surveys completed by faculty and staff. No need is too small!! Below are topics that have been covered in the past:
- How to Burn a CD
- How to Imbed Sound and Video Clips to PowerPoint
- How to Use the HP Scanners
- How to Determine a Document's Readability Level Using MS Word
- How to Set Up the Projection Units
- How to Use the Sony Handycam Video Cameras
- How to Use the Kodak Easy Share Digital Cameras
- How to Update Class Rosters (eClass Grades)
- Using Lotus Domino Web Access (eMail)
